The artist’s concept: enlightenment
Enlightenment is the highest state of clarity, in which the mind ceases to be a prisoner of its own projections. It is not a sudden flash of knowledge but a long process of clearing the field of consciousness of the debris of dogmas, fears and unnecessary narratives. It requires parting with safe but false beliefs in favour of absolute honesty about who we really are. It is not the acquisition of power or secret knowledge but an awakening from sleepwalking, in which the world ceases to be a riddle and becomes conscious existence in truth. It asks whether we can give up the comfort of our own narratives.
